Need to make a claim?

Call us first. We'll help you report it, tell you what Ibex needs and deal with the Spanish side for you. Outside office hours, use the numbers below.

Car

  1. Make sure everyone is safe. If anyone is injured, call 112.
  2. Fill in a European accident report (declaración amistosa) with the other driver if you can, and take photos.
  3. Report theft, attempted theft or vandalism to the police straight away and keep the report number.
  4. Tell us or Ibex within seven days.

Home and static homes

  1. Stop further damage if it's safe: turn off the water, cover a broken window.
  2. Report theft or vandalism to the police and keep the report number.
  3. Call us or Ibex as soon as you can, and speak to Ibex before you arrange any repairs.
  4. Keep damaged items and take photos.

Damage from floods, storms and other extraordinary events is paid by Spain's Consorcio de Compensación de Seguros (952 367 042). We can make the claim with you.

Travel

Medical emergency abroad: call the 24-hour assistance service before you go to a private clinic, if you're admitted to hospital, or if treatment may cost more than €500.

All other claims (cancellation, delays, baggage) go through the online claims portal within 28 days of coming home: submitaclaim.co.uk/IBEX. Report lost or stolen items to the police within 24 hours, and lost baggage to the airline within three days.

Quote your certificate number. The numbers on your own certificate always take priority.

Call us with your policy number and the details of what happened. We'll send you the right claim form and tell you which invoices and reports Ibex needs.
