This policy explains how Newman-Fliedl CB handles personal data: from visitors to www.magellaninsurances.com, from people who ask us for an insurance quote, from our clients, and from anyone who contacts us. It complies with the EU General Data Protection Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spain's Organic Law 3/2018 on the Protection of Personal Data and Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD).

2. What data we collect
- Quote and contact requests: the details you enter in our form (name, email, phone if you give it, the insurance you're interested in, your message), and the time you accepted this policy.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis
| Purpose | Legal basis |

| Keeping the website secure and protecting the contact form from spam. | Legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f). |
We do not make automated decisions about you or build profiles. Insurers set their prices and decide whether to offer cover; their privacy notices explain how they do it.
4. Who we share it with
We never sell your data. We only share it when needed:
- Ibex Portugal – Corretora de Seguros, Unipessoal, Lda, on whose behalf we act, and the insurer of your policy, to provide quotes, issue and administer your policy and handle claims. They may share it with their claims handlers, assistance services and reinsurers.
- Public authorities and courts, when the law requires it.
- Service providers who process data on our behalf under a contract: our website and email hosting, and our office software.
5. International transfers
Ibex Insurance is based in Portugal and the insurers in Malta, both within the EU. If a service provider processes data outside the EU, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Travel claims and emergency assistance abroad may require your data to be sent to the country where you need help. The Google map on our contact page (see section 8) is provided by Google and only loads if you ask for it.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotes that don't lead to a policy: two years from our last contact.
- Clients: while your policy is in force and then for as long as the law requires us to keep records, and claims could be made, normally up to six years.
- Server logs: for the limited period set by our hosting provider for security.
7. Your rights
At any time, you have the right to:
- access your data;
- correct inaccurate data;
- erase your data;
- restrict how we use it;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- data portability;
- withdraw consent where you have given it, without affecting earlier processing.

This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Its fonts are served from our own server. The map on our contact page is provided by Google Maps, which sets its own cookies, so it only loads when you click "Show map". Links to WhatsApp, Google Maps, Ibex Insurance and claims services take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
9. Security and changes
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data. If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here with its update date.
